My wife and I had been searching for a new ranch or split level house for the past three years using various Real Estate Agents. We are in our mid-sixties and lived in our former house for 40 plus years and were looking to downsize. Back in May 2016 we came across a ranch house that we thought would fit us like a glove. We came upon Real Estate Agent Megan Rummel who was our initial contact, and our only contact, from start to finish. We were definitely pleased with her knowledge, responsiveness, devotion and expertise of the real estate market. From the onset, Megan returned all our calls immediately and kept us updated and in the loop, during the whole process. We would meet at the house site, her office and even at her home to discuss the house, our anxieties and the concerns of acquiring a new home. The process was very intimidating at first, but Megan eventually got us to become more comfortable in the home buying business. Megan went beyond the call of duty. We were initially concerned about an issue of moisture in the basement. Megan assisted us in gathering and recommending a list of names and telephone phone numbers of contractors that could provide us with valuable information regarding our basement concerns. We also obtained some contractors on our own and used a mixture of contractors to evaluate both possible exterior and interior causes of the moisture problem. Megan’s input was very helpful in determining the moisture issue. There was one incident during the process where I couldn’t keep myself from laughing. I visited the house unexpectedly one hot summer day and found Megan on a ladder with a hose in her hand, placing it into a roof gutter to determine if the downspout system was properly directing the water away from the house. She was very excited to show me the results, leading me to the place of discharge, way in the backyard. Those are just two examples of her going beyond her job description. It is hard to believe that Megan has only two years of experience. Megan was always on top of things, worked diligently and was very thorough in her negotiations with my wife and I, and with the homeowner. She explained the process extremely well and answered all our questions to the best of her ability. If she didn’t have an immediate answer to our questions, she would provide us with a response the following day, if not sooner. Megan always provided us with straightforward explanations. Megan is a very friendly, outgoing, dedicated and devoted Real Estate Agent. She currently has our old home up for sale. Would we recommend Megan to family, friends and other potential homebuyers?
